Alligator clips are the downside of this product.

I wanted to like this product - great reviews - personally recommended by someone I trust - and honestly I never liked it. When I've used it for the last 3 years it's always been the same - issues with those cheap alligator clips. They are too small and too cheap. If you want to clamp something 0.25" or smaller they work fine - not great - but ok. Everything else - just forget it. So last week I finally decided to find a replacement for those cheap alligator clips. After nearly one hour of trolling through Revain I finally thought it might work: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08TQ8G2N4?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2_dt_b_product_details To be honest I was tired of searching and seeing if it worked - nothing. nothing risked. So here they come - and the 2 smallest sizes turned out to be good candidates. I've never been able to find the 6-32 "sleeve" that is part of the alligator clips and they to screw into the flex hoses so I cut them off the alligator clips and epoxy glued them to the new clips If you go that route I would recommend cutting near the alligator's vertebra - you have more material for that epoxy to stick to the clamp handle. I didn't do it in the picture - not necessarily, but bigger is better. Also, make sure to use a Q-wand or something else to keep the epoxy from "feeding back" the threads. I also use a heatsink to cover the orange "pivots" on the ends of the clamps - I didn't find them useful - the heatsink also gave a more "rubber" feel to what you're clamping. I included images as breadcrumbs. I hope someone finds this useful or suggests a better solution.
