After using this product several times, I was disappointed. Although advertised as a coarse file, I found them to be thinner than the metal chainsaw files sold at Home Depot, so I felt the metal files cut more material than this diamond file. The diamond file seems to clog easily, although cleaning with an abrasive cleaner will keep the file surface looking new. Obviously, this file is intended for fine-tuning sharpening, not for re-sharpening teeth that have been damaged by a nail or a sand or pebble hit in a tree. An electric chainsaw sharpener is best for this. And the plastic handle seems flimsy. Although the manufacturer states that this product should be used without excessive pressure, I have the impression that the handle can break if too much pressure is applied when filing a tooth. I have no intention of throwing this file away and perhaps over time my sub-par experience with this file will improve, but in the meantime I recommend sticking with your metal files and using an electric grinder for fine-tuning. Sharper when the saw teeth require more attention.
