Listening experience - about six months. Source - Yamaha CD-N301, Yamaha A-S301 amplifier. Brief conclusions: 1) The uneven frequency response is noticeable, the speakers accentuate the midrange, especially their upper part. Plus or minus - depends on the specific listener and, in fact, the music. Vocals, saxophone, acoustic guitar, electronics - delight! Loud, bright, very detailed. But when listening to some hard rock and especially metal compositions, an overabundance of medium-high and a lack of lows are often noticeable, the sound presses on the ears - you have to experiment with adjusting the timbres and volume. 2) The sound is very dependent on the location of the speakers! Do not place them narrowly (there should be the same distance from the listener to each speaker and between them, that is, an equilateral triangle), experiment with the height and angle of rotation to the listener. Desirable stands! For small rooms, they are suitable, I think, rather weakly - they need a lot of space. 3) The bass is a little strange. On some compositions, you don’t even want to touch the tone control knobs - everything is in its place, as much bass as you need. On others, it is not enough, the sound is flat. It happens that even during one composition, some parts of the bass part are heard well, and some "sink", play quietly. I puzzled over what was the matter - it turned out that at about 70 Hz the resistance rises sharply right up to 50 Ohms, hence the dips in volume in this frequency range, so I have to put up with it. Personally, after some time of listening, I even fell in love with a neat bass without "fat", it does not clog the rest of the range, but still behaves somewhat unpredictably in these speakers - in some places it is very deep and strong, and in some places it is lost due to an impedance jump. In general, I can say that for me the advantages outweigh the disadvantages, especially considering the relatively low price of this stereo pair. A good budget choice for an entry-level audio system. I can’t call them ideal, but they play what they need, sometimes even superbly.
