This Scosche double din kit looks great and is a perfect match for Tacoma 05-11. I had a free double din metra kit for 2 years but lost the clips after a few takedowns. I've never been happy with Metra hardware and its weird bezel ring. Or an emergency button and a watch (the button sticks). Or a cheap looking copied golf pin texture. This Scosche kit uses the panel clips from a standard radio, so don't sell or throw away your old radio. As a hidden bonus, no universal plastic clips are required. The standard steel radio mounts are reusable, giving you a 100% secure and perfectly aligned radio. Radio latches are inserted first, then the Scosche kit just snaps perfectly into place. No gaps, kinks or squeaks like the Metra set. The only thing I don't like is the thin decorative ring. It doesn't fit well and it's thin so it curves in at the top and bottom, but it's not that noticeable. Unfortunately, the decorative ring on my Alpine doesn't fit without modifications, it doesn't matter. The color match is excellent. It 100% matches the gray hazard button and gray vent. The guide is pretty terrible, but do-it-yourself audio lovers really don't need a guide. I am very happy with the set for the price I paid.
