Received as a gift and unfortunately the return period was closed. I started using the tongs about 3 weeks ago and have used the little green ones exactly 3 times. Once for light shumai slices, once for a small amount of spaghettini and today for pork fillet slices. Imagine my surprise when I looked at the plate with the fillet and saw that small pieces of tongs had literally fallen onto the plate! They have only been hand washed, I don't want to keep using them because I might be missing a piece that fell into my food. I strongly advise against buying these. They were cheap but still not worth the price. Anyway, I've never had a problem like this with pliers.
