Review on ๐Ÿ”ฝ KitchenAid 1-Piece Pouring Shield: Enhancing Efficiency and Spillage Control by Matthew Ciula

Disappointed with what I expected from Kitchenaid

Here is my beautiful, beloved, red Kitchen Aid blender. This is a shield specific to this model and the original shell. I tried to show in my drawing that the screen just sits on top... the protrusions don't "snap" onto the bowl or anything like that. I can fit as thick as a butter knife between the tabs that "hold it in place" and the bowl itself. So basically nothing is holding it in place. The splatter guard holds back the splatters, but forget about cracking an egg or even hitting the splatter guard with a measuring cup. I've been eyeing this for a while because I wanted 1 but didn't need 1. All the pastries at home with the kids last year I decided to get and keep but unfortunately disappointed. I'll probably only take it out when the kids are helping or I'm doing something, the bowl is pretty full. It is also brittle and breaks easily.

Pros
  • Note. Please check the model number on the bottom of the blender, any other source may give the wrong model number
Cons
  • May cause injury
