If you're like me, you've been burned by many different charging cables. I've learned that cheap cables are cheap for a reason: devices don't usually recognize them quickly. Even some of the more expensive ones will fill up. But I was very impressed with my anchor cables; They stand the test of time. I have an amazing collection of Anker cords - not because they're broken, but because I love having different cords for different purposes (the more the merrier in our gadget-filled house and when traveling). I prefer braided cables that can withstand the tugging of my two kids. I appreciate it when Anker makes improvements like Powerline+II and you get an even stronger cable and faster charging. So when I was looking for long cords (because god forbid kids need to sit close to the charging hub or to each other when using their devices...) I did a little research but quickly settled on the 10 foot cords by anchor . in red and gold (color of the children's choice). We are all very happy with the cables, even my husband! Kids feel less attached to specific locations in the room when using their devices, and that helps when travelling, too. For example, we took a few rides with the kids in the back of the van and were able to connect to the charging station at the front of the van using these cables, centered in the second row between the bucket seats (no need to burn power banks!). Kids could also use devices to charge their devices from almost anywhere in a hotel room or in their room at a vacation rental, while others had to stay close to a charging station. The cables are well packaged (which is standard for Anker products). ) and a Velcro strap to store/manage its length when not in use or when its full length is not needed. Unlike the shorter versions (which I also have), this one doesn't come in a zipped case (because it has to be a big case. Ha ha ha!). I have my own zip pocket which I use for cords and power adapters anyway so that wasn't a problem for me - and the velcro closure works well. The cable also feels strong and can take flexing/crimping (in fact, it doesn't bend easily, which is great. You can velcro it easily, but it's NOT a fancy cable). I also have to say that from an aesthetic point of view, Anker makes some nice cables. We love having different colors to choose from and all the colors we've chosen over the years have been eye catching. I especially like the red and gold ones we bought recently. Overall this is another great Anker product that we have been enjoying for several months and look forward to using for a long time to come. UPDATE (July 2019): Our anchor cables still work despite daily use and lots of travel. In combination with fast charging hubs, they hold up better than original Apple cables. My husband, who tends to buy cheap cables, has failed a few times and had to be replaced, while the anchor cables my kids and I use continue to work and are not falling apart. A solid investment for me!
