Review on 🔒 Huber ZIP System Liquid-Flash: 29 Ounce Cartridge for Waterproof and Airtight Liquid Flashing Sealant by Brad Schillings

We used this product to seal a new house and watertight window sills. There are many areas that are very difficult to mask off but are too exposed for the spray foam to last long. Our solution was to use pipes from this throughout the house. We also used this on all the window sills which worked well as we had a window that was broken in transit and taped up when installed. During a rain shower, water got onto the tape and sat on the windowsill for 2 days before it was wiped off. No water has penetrated into this product and has not come into contact with the wooden window sill. Because of this, we are confident that if water somehow gets through the window seal in the future, it will either stay on this product until it evaporates, or make its way onto the drywall and be quickly noticed (no hidden rot potential). It is also very tough after treatment. I watched as the installer moved the window over the windowsill and made a gap in the cured product. After I mentioned this, we both looked at the gap and found that it was partially healing itself (and not reaching the tree). This product worked great as an air seal and allowed us to seal many places that we couldn't figure out like before. It's easy to use, but I recommend setting the Milwaukee 29oz Caulking Gun to 2 or 3 if you intend to use it frequently (don't set it higher unless you want to learn how to use the caulking gun very quickly completely disassembled and cleaned). . . It also cleans well with standard acetone or mineral spirits (so don't set the gun to 5 and think you'll make it faster). All in all, this is a great product and I keep finding new ways to use it.
