Easy installation - one screw. The rod does not need to be removed.
Installation took about 90 seconds, simply loosen a hex screw holding the guard plate in place by inserting a long hex wrench through the "S" into the Westin on the Insert protective plate. . There is no need to remove the bar if it is already installed. It's a bit pricey, but the quality is good and the plate-threaded brass inserts are a nice touch. Would I buy again, reliable product.
