This is an outstanding camcorder. It's not HD, but the picture quality is excellent. The colors are great and the images are very clear. I've been in video production for 8 years and I can tell you that I've always been very disappointed with the quality of most consumer cameras. However, the Canon FS200 far exceeded my expectations. This is by far the best camera you can get in this price range. The only downside I've found is that it doesn't perform at its best in low light. However, this is true of any consumer camera in this price range and beyond. I would recommend this camera to anyone who is looking for high quality images but doesn't want to take any chances in the HD world.
