As someone who has never knitted before I find this needle set to be the perfect starter set. The different sizes mean you can knit almost anything you want and the fact that they are connected means you never have to worry about losing one. They are beautiful, durable and easy to use. Haven't successfully knit anything other than test stitches as far as I'm learning, but this is a great set of knitting needles and they seem to last a long time.
