Personally, I'm not a skater, I'm a mechanic. Other than that, I walk and run a lot, so sweating in the summer really robbed me of the comfort of wearing shoes. So I opted for alternative 1. It's this model that has a small circle of grip at the bottom that has surprisingly little grip on oily and greasy surfaces (of course with the right balance and feel, I don't recommend for those unfamiliar with such surfaces).2. Comfortable in everything, wide so that your toes don't weigh down.3. It has 2 small breathable holes on the side that EXTREMELY help get rid of odor and sweat. And by EXTREME I mean almost total liberation. I use them everywhere. and I mean everywhere. Pretty, good price. Can not complain.
