Review on PureSec Replacement Diverter Kitchen Countertop by Nick Whitman

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Is it urinary incontinence or is it me?

I have an overhead water filter. After three years, the supplied diverter valve failed due to age, mediocre material and/or planned obsolescence. I've tried everything to restore it. There is no joy. It looks like there are a lot of mediocre parts in there. I chose to do this for no real reason. There were no instructions or documents. Just a part. It's ok - it's a simple contraption, but water flows from the top and bottom of the ring (the top part). Some background or installation suggestion diagrams would be helpful. The next lower section is also leaking, as is the movable atomizer head that I use in place of the mesh part (aerator). While not all leaks could be a manufacturer fault, such as where it screws into a faucet, I really don't know. The old trap didn't leak, but who knows. I ended up using various rubber washers, teflon tape and some guesswork. A handy diagram showing various installation scenarios with basic troubleshooting and suggestions would score HUGE points for its usefulness. It could also be a good selling point if people knew they had workarounds available. At the moment, after spending some time with it, I only have one leak left - at the very top where it connects to the faucet. I'll try again later when I search the internet for a handy chart with basic troubleshooting and helpful tips.
