I needed something small to put a ham radio station in my car. The radio is in the back of the car, only the remote control and microphone are in the front. I installed this speaker at the top right next to the driver's seat. Now that this little speaker is aimed at my ear, my wife can enjoy the car radio while I continue to listen to ham radio. It doesn't have the depth of sound that I've found in similarly sized Yaesu branded speakers (my personal preference) but it was a lot cheaper, I had to try. It was good for my application.
