Failed in 2 months in special gym wear

I swim 3 times a week for about 90 minutes. The first hour is my main training, the freestyle swim over 4,300 meters. For the next 30 minutes I do a few butterfly sprints and rest (a lot). Since my body isn't in the competitive shape it was when I was 17, I prefer to wear a jam suit, so I went with this one. In the beginning it was great. I used to wear the Speedo Endurance Jammer but once I was in pretty good shape again I could feel its resistance in the water. If you're a serious swimmer, you might notice even the slightest resistance (like shaving - it makes a difference). This suit has a smoother surface and I immediately noticed that it runs faster than my Endurance Jammer. But after only 2 months (again swimming 3 sessions a week, which is about 6 hours in the pool) she started to stretch strangely, especially around the knees. When I pushed off the wall after the somersault, the lip/edges flapped in the water and created a lot of drag (compared to when they were new). My record-breaking friends used to joke that it looked like I was wearing panties. So I had no choice but to ditch them and go back to the Endurance silencers, but I immediately noticed and didn't like that the drag was back. So, despite my reluctance, I went back to just wearing shorts ("swimming trunks" in the literal sense) like the ones I wore for my high school swim. So if you train really regularly, it won't be enough for you. I rinsed them right after training (in the shower) and washed them in the washing machine once a week (warm wash, Persil detergent, front load washing machine, normal cycle). Either buy endurance jammers or whatever, for me it was a waste of money.
