I bought these to drill some holes in the bench but couldn't use them. As soon as they touched the wood surface, the groove tips dug in so deeply that they jammed my 20 volt drill. So I switched to a corded drill and the same thing happened. I tried it with a screwdriver - again the same result. They want to eat enough wood to defeat themselves. After drilling the dog holes with a combination of Forstner bits and paddles, these bits worked great for cleaning out the sides of the holes. Maybe someone better than me can make these things obey, or maybe I just can't figure it out. how to use them (great opportunity) and in that hope I'm choosing four stars instead of three.
