Bought a big clever one to replace an old one that we have loved for years. that the base looks a bit smaller than the previous model. This means that despite its large size, it no longer fits into our usual morning cups. Of course, these are large cups, so this dripper is suitable for all medium or smaller sized cups. but somewhat dismayed that we either have to go back to our (very) old large base dripper or ditch our usual and favorite morning cups in exchange for something a little smaller. Sophie's choice! Either way, remember this is a great product, but if you're in love with your big mug, this may not be the dripper for you anymore. Oh. UPDATE: In a cruel twist of fate, we've also received a smaller version of the Smart Drip, and inexplicably it has a slightly larger base than the larger one. It would actually fit on our large coffee mugs. What is the end I ask? He only fills a large mug about a quarter. So what's the point of teasing and mocking us? I don't know who runs the (not really) Clever company, but whoever it is seems to have a sick sense of humor.
