Protects the humidifier from bacteria and fungi
All winter I used a bacteriostatic water treatment in my humidifier. It works as advertised and is great. This did not add to the salt load that builds up on the humidifier's paper evaporative screen. I haven't had any problems with fungus or bacteria. I buy it in the maximum quantity to reduce shipping costs.
