I have been looking for a smartphone stabilizer for many years. I finally bought this one after a YouTube review of "best stabilizer under $100". Best of all: works great! Panning works great. The battery lasts forever. Made from high quality metal. All buttons work with the user application. You have to download it from the App Store. The not so important part: I'm using an iPhone 8 plus and this gimbal struggles with the weight of the phone. It cannot be rotated 360 degrees on the iPhone Plus model. A smaller phone is recommended. Portrait mode is not recommended for the iPhone Plus, but it is possible. The gimbal control is not documented anywhere. What you need to know: When using a custom app, the power button acts as a shutter button in both camera and video modes. Zoom is step zoom. Press up once to zoom in and down once to zoom out. Press and hold the zoom button for 3 seconds to switch between camera and video mode. Press and hold the zoom button for 3 seconds to switch between the front and rear cameras. The battery life is still great. Cons: jerks for unknown reasons. I check the weight balance again. But that is not the cause of the problem. Also, when in pan-lock mode, it moves left or right depending on how it's positioned. It will stop moving after deciding that there is no turning movement. This also happens when it is on a stand.
