The wood on my bunk is about 9 years old. In South Florida, the sun beats down on the forest most of the year. The wood has faded and started to crack. Now that lumber prices are skyrocketing I wanted to try to save some money. I pressure washed it - yes, declined, I know. I had to remove mold from cracks and crevices. Then I waited two days and applied it with a Greco air gun. Everything went very easily. According to the instructions I applied two layers close together. I have a 750 square foot dock and I used 4.5 gallons. I am very impressed with the optics. At first I thought Clear would fade it so I ended up with some tan Seal-Once, but it felt artificial to me. Clear gave the wood a younger look as can be seen in the before and after photos. Pictured after a recent rain shower. The water flows beautifully (applied in early April) and the paint looks equally wet or dry. I can't say anything about the durability yet, but I'll give it 5 stars for now and update if necessary.
