I have subway style black tiles in my kitchen. That means it's very, very shiny (almost like a black mirror) and every drop of lube is visible on it. I love the look of the tile but it shows EVERYTHING and it took me a while to find a product that would allow me to wipe it clean without leaving a greasy residue. I've been using Ivory Liquid for dishwashing for over 40 years (I don't own a dishwasher) and it never occurred to me to try any other dishwashing detergent until finally the person at ACE Hardware suggested I switch to Dawn. when I asked him if he had a grease remover. I bought a bottle of Dawn and suffice it to say I have it in my Subscribe & Save account now. This is a very effective grease remover, not only from my dirty dishes, pots and pans, but also cleans my black tile countertops (and my black hob) without leaving greasy stains. It's not heavy on my hands either. Although I keep a bottle of hand lotion right by the sink - with Dawn I can sometimes forget to apply hand lotion because I don't always feel like I need it. What more do you want? Clean dishes. No smeared chips and smooth hands! I raised three daughters to use Ivory - now I've challenged them to change. When Don cleans greasy counters I CANNOT see, I can only imagine how well she cleans greasy I CANNOT see. I recommend this product without hesitation. Incidentally, I fill a bottle of Dawn into an empty decorative olive oil bottle and place it on the window sill above the sink – the blue color really comes into its own there. So I don't have to bend down under the sink to get the soap, it's always ready to hand and prettier than the blue plastic bottle.
