Don't forget to look under the hood for the emissions sticker to ensure the VIN verification is set correctly. I ordered the DISA valve 11617544805 and it was the wrong size. The damper valve is about 1/2 inch longer. This 805 is for the SULEV (Ultra Low Emission Vehicle) version of the E46. I have a NON SULEV and needed this (part number ends with 806). I have provided a link to a longer version of SULEV ending in 805. If your car is the SULEV version, you need a longer DISA valve. link below. I just installed 806 and the engine light has gone out but the power is back on.
