I have never used a fisheye lens before and I hated reading some of the reviews about how difficult it is to use but found it easy and very fun. You just have to keep in mind that the closer your subject is, the more obvious the distortion will be. That's all. In addition, the lens is really better suited for full-frame sensors. This is fantastic on my 5D Mark II, but cropping on my 20D eliminates almost all fisheye distortion. There is some chromatic aberration at the corners of the image, but this is not unacceptable. The manual focus ring is very smooth and snaps from end to end (i.e. the ring doesn't move beyond infinity). The autofocus mechanical noise is a bit louder compared to the other lenses in my kit and it's difficult to focus in low light, but I'll be focusing manually with this lens most of the time. All in all a great lens for the price that takes a lot of interesting photos.
