Having burned out half my lightbulb in much less than the estimated time of 1.4 years; It lasted less than 3 months when used for about half an hour 5 days a week for a total of 120 hours of use over three months at a rated 1500 hours. 1500 hours, the BS 2/2 lamp died in two days and less than 1.5 hours. I've searched the web for GE lamps including this one and others and there are many people who face the same issues emitting fumes for weeks and days. In addition, GE lamps will also explode and/or catch fire. Be careful when you buy them. Also remember to keep your receipts.
