My current mesh jacket is about 5 years old and is starting to look a little dated so I ordered this jacket in 2XL according to the sizing chart and it fits very well, very good actually. Nice number but not floral and not too loose with or without a liner. The sleeves are highly adjustable with 2 adjustment tabs each with 3 adjustment buttons and a large section of strong Velcro at the wrists. Removable shoulder and elbow protectors fit well and are not bulky at all, fitting snugly to the body and easily adjustable with these eyelets. There is removable padding in the back, but there are a couple of odd looking pads that are sewn into the back of the jacket that cannot be removed. Branding is limited to a silicone-like 3D logo at center shoulders and another logo at top of right shoulder with an embroidered logo at back waist, neither of which are reflective. All zippers are made of high quality YKK material with comfortable closure. There are 2 front chest pockets and 2 lower hand pockets, all fairly roomy. The warm, long-sleeved quilted lining is easy to remove and attach with a zip-around closure, a pair of elastic drawstrings in each sleeve, and a small Velcro strap at the back to keep it in place. The lining has an approximately 6 inch pocket that fits my iPhone 7. The lining also works well if you just tuck it under your jacket on a chilly morning or in an unexpectedly cold place and then remove it once it's warm. Inside the jacket there is a zipped pocket on the left side for my iPhone 7, a pocket for your phone or iPod (not big enough for my iPhone 7 in the X-Doria case) and another one at the top for you headphones. There's a matching set on the right side, and inside the collar is a flap that opens to hold the headphone cord, as well as a pair of cord management loops on the shoulders. After padding, take out the earbuds and tuck them neatly into the top pockets on each side. Put on your jacket, put on your headphones and off you go, no problem. Nice little feature that shows someone designed the jacket with the use in mind. There is also a "tablet" storage pouch which, judging by the zipper, appears to be waterproof, but I have NOT tested that fact. This would make sense given the airflow of the mesh jacket design and the need to keep the electronics we carry around safe and dry. Another thoughtful design touch: a lanyard in the right pocket and a small hidden pocket along the hem on the left. Just in time for a $20 emergency and a spare key! All in all I've ridden about 1500 miles in this jacket and I find it to be of very good quality and fit regardless of the cost. It ventilates well with the liner, so far I've ridden comfortably in the cold like a 45 with the liner and warm like a 90 without the liner. Once it gets over 90 here in the state of South Carolina it gets pretty stuffy and uncomfortable standing still in ANY jacket so I'm very happy with this jacket especially for the price. If you're looking for a well-made reinforced mesh jacket for warm-weather excursions, Ironside is definitely worth a look!
