I use this speaker for two purposes: 1) better sound since my laptop is closed and put aside; 2) Easier access to headphone jack. When the headphones are not in use, the speakers deliver good sound. I confess I'm not worried about bass or treble or anything like that (which is good because I can't control it) - I just want to record the music as it was made and go about my business. An easily accessible headphone jack makes the transition between them and the speakers much easier. I seem to be doing more video calls lately and I don't have any audio or mic issues either (I don't use the mic jack, I just use the headphone jack and the audio comes through with no issues). Good price, good sound, easy to use.
