Works great but initial smoke from burning tires was unexpected
First you need to understand what this thing is. This is a voltmeter with a piece of wire connected in parallel with a switch. it contained some chemical from the factory's processing and produced smoke that smelled distinctly of burning tires. I suspect the wire was coated with some kind of chemical coating and when it got hot it started to burn and produce an odor. This thing works amazing, but the first few times don't use it in your garage without proper ventilation.
