I ordered something else first before a friend recommended it. wow wow wow night after day! i love it very much I run/run 4-5 miles a day in the sun in hot Southern California with no problem. However, there are a few tricks for happy use: 1) Before first use: Be sure to use a mild detergent (I used my soap) and cool water to wash it off thoroughly. A lot of color is released. 2) If you send it on long endurance rides, don't push it out. I made a mistake the first time and got the maximum out of it. It certainly won't get wet that way, but it will start to dry out (in the sun) within 30 minutes and become dry to the bone in 1 hour. 3) When I say bone dry, I mean it. The material gets extremely "hard" when I feel like it's going to break (it doesn't) when I bend it. Very interesting material 4) The instructions recommend storing the towel in the small container it came in. I think it's impossible with reasonable human skill, so I'm using a zippered sandwich bag, which is perfect. 5) Instead of keeping them wet between uses, I keep them dry. This will prevent anything nasty from growing on it - not sure due to the unusual material. 6) When the material is really wet, it feels almost sticky. I'm currently looking for the same as a headband - if there is such a thing - and bracelets. This is probably the best thing that can happen to endurance sports in a hot climate! Edit: I've had it for almost a year now. I kept it in a ziplock plastic bag in my fanny pack and completely forgot about it until today when the first really hot day came. I took it out of my bag, it was still damp from my last use almost a year ago, but I added some more mineral water and went hiking in the heat. If it were possible to give more than 5 stars, I would! The product is durable, comfortable and will withstand frost for at least 1.5 hours under the scorching Southern California sun. Fiction!
