Review on XTRONS 15.6 Inch Ultra-Thin FHD Car Overhead Player Roof Mounted Monitor with HDMI Port - 1080P Video & Digital TFT Screen (No DVD) by Darlene Malone

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Kids love it, great picture, very thin but missing some key features.

Installed on our 2015 Ford Expedition. I won't go into detail about the installation as it can vary, but as far as the unit goes I will list some pros and cons. Pros: - Excellent picture quality - Very thin - Excellent inputs: HDMI, RCA - Acceptable build quality considering the price - Built-in IR and FM transmitter is of decent quality with almost no white noise or noise floor that some have. Cons: - No wired video or audio output at all. (I mean the only way to hear about it is to use the built in FM or IR transmitter. It would be nice to have at least RCA audio outputs for connecting directly to the car stereo.) - The menu is not the best. There are two icons that don't even seem to do anything since you can't select them: built-in USB storage and SD card reader SUCKSSSSSS. limited to 32GB, playing very slowly or doing anything - the built in light switch has 3 settings - trigger, turn on and +trigger. However the problem is that since my car always sends a small amount of voltage to the lights and this uses an LED if you set it to turn on along with the doors when you close the door the light will come on is, but very weak. .-Blue accent light is stupid. unless you are trying to make your interior look more like a ghetto or blind people. It would be nice if it had an 8-12 foot trailer. Instead you have to route all the wires and connect them to the 1 foot wires coming out of the device. This made installation difficult. All in all very good, but could be improved. costs money.
