I couldn't find anything similar in local stores

I'm guessing it's charcoal because it eliminates odors pretty well and the smell of the filters reminds me of the bamboo charcoal deodorizer in the fridge I have. It is very easy to cut (additionally I only had to cut one side because it was the perfect width for my AC window unit. Will buy again
