This sensor worked really well after I replaced the downstream oxygen sensor on my 2005 Honda Civic with 102,000 miles. The check engine light (code P0141) went off and never came back after I cleared this code and a week had passed. Before ordering this sensor, I tested the heater resistance of my old sensor by connecting the leads of an ohmmeter to a pair of pins that belonged to the same wire color (you will need to unplug this sensor for this test first). In my case they were both white. I found this circuit to be open and accordingly my sensor was dead. This is a good incentive to start replacing. The new sensor I received has a resistance of 16 ohms. Using the previous suggestions I also reused the small rubber boots from the old sensor by cutting them over the old cable and placing them onto the new one under the existing holders. What I cannot accept is the use of PVC tape to secure them to the cable. were "fixed" on my previous Ford Focus like this: The PVC film melts in the engine compartment and turns the rubber hose into jelly. for splicing electrical cables.
