Review on πŸ“· [Apple MFi Certified] Qubii Photo Storage Drive for iPhone & iPad, Automatic Photo and Video Backup, Photo Stick [512GB - White] by Tory Richardson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Intuitive and easy

What I like: 1) You can not only backup photos from your phone. You can also back up your contacts and photos from your social media accounts. (Two months ago I lost over half my contacts because they were related to my school email. I deleted my school email from my phone and my phone wasn't connected to iCloud so I lost them all Qubii would be my lifesaver.)2 ) Can be customized. While the app lets you back up all of these things automatically, you can choose which ones you actually want to back up and how often. You can even turn off automatic backups and back up manually if you like. 3) Qubii works with Mac and other PCs. Although I have two iPhones, my computer and tablet run Windows. 4) It is lightweight, easy to store and difficult to lose. Unless, of course, you have a habit of losing your phone charger. Some things to watch out for: 1) The product will not work without or comes with a micro SD card. You must receive it separately. (Update: You can now buy Qubii with an SD card.) 2) You'll need to download the Qubii app (don't worry, it's free!) The Qubii app isn't as intuitive as the company's Piconizer app. is still very easy to use and can be used in almost any occasion, but that doesn't mean there isn't room for improvement. 3) Qubii must have the power to work. At first I couldn't get the Qubii to work with my computer, but there was no problem when plugged into the wall charger. I don't need to have it fully connected. A small green light will glow where you plug in the USB port when the Qubii is connected to a power source. If you're having trouble, we recommend making sure this light is solid green before proceeding with other troubleshooting steps. Improvements the company might consider in the future: 1) The onboarding process could be made a bit clearer. Right now I'd rate it at 30 minutes to get the hang of it, which is great, but being also familiar with the company's Piconizer app I know they can do even more. 2) More automatic backup features, such as emails and text messages. 3) Add some features to what you can do with photos from the app, like: B. Sharing photos from the app to text, email, and SM. 4) Offer the product in more colors or fun designs and maybe with a small drawstring at the back for storage and carrying. (I'm so glad to see that the company has implemented some of the things I've suggested here.)

Pros
  • USB sticks
Cons
  • There are even more interesting options.
