Good for opening sealed wine bottles. Jam, but this device slipped through and didn't get stuck at all. Once the cork is removed, simply press the switch on the side of the device to push the cork back. The transparent area at the bottom of the device allows you to see what's going on at all times. What I really liked is that the device takes up little space. I replaced the "rabbit" which was clumsy and took up a lot of closet space. This unit can stand and the built in foil cutter storage on the bottom works exceptionally well (see image). The only thing that bothers me is that the device does not have a charge switch. I left it plugged in for over 24 hours straight and the blue light never went out or changed color to let me know the charge was complete.
