Two problems: 1. The bottom of these cups can be scratched easily, either during the transportation itself or during storage or handling after you receive them. The bottom scratches easily because the lower lip is too high and not strong enough for her height. Most other mugs (like the ones at the local coffee shop) have a shorter bottom rim that makes them more abrasion resistant.2. The mug is too high for the microwave when you use these mugs in the microwave. In any case, the mugs are not actually microwaveable, but some people use the mug in the microwave anyway. This is usually the case when using these mugs in an office break room where the microwave is the only appliance used to heat water. I don't recommend them at all.
