A little less than I expected - I have to insert a spare car key to lock it. And there doesn't seem to be any additional security measures in place to prevent simple brute forcing by trying all 10,000 combinations - a fifth digit or something like a freeze period after x failed attempts would make me much more comfortable leaving this unattended in my Automobile. with a spare key in it. If I'm in a shady area I take it with me for the night. It seems pretty sturdy in terms of construction - it would take some serious hitting to break the hinge, which appears to be a structural weakness. But at this price I couldn't find an alternative that had more digits, and it takes a while to brute force a 4 digit combination, so it serves its purpose as "good enough" to lock a small number of small keys save with relative certainty. If you want to offer really reliable protection, you have to spend a little more. I just wish the 5 digit models of this product or something similar were more affordable, even if those digital toggle switches make up 99.9% of the cost. willingly paid 25% more for a combo that is 10x stronger than brute force.
