As a former machinist with 45 years of experience with cutting tools, blades and metals in general, I was pleased with the limited experience I had with these blades ((right after receiving them I snagged a piece 1 1/2 "plywood and cut a 3" square out of it) and the wear marks I observed were that the blade would definitely retain its sharpness. Time will tell but unless used in a professional setting they should work well for the homeowner. I also appreciated the packaging and separation of each blade type. The case seems to be of a quality that would be useful for long term storage and keeping all together. The value over buying the blades individually is also a plus.
