This is by far the best third party case I've had for my 2016 iPad Pro 9.7" - this case is a really good copy of the apple smart cover that was released for this ipad, the only real difference is that part of the cover attaches to the back of the ipad instead of being attached to the edge of the ipad with a magnet The cover works the same as the smart cover, the lid part can be folded to form a triangle that lifts the iPad from its flat position on the table and also lifts the iPad securely (and despite confusion and other advantages: light weight and in When closed it really isn't much thicker than the iPad itself (not bulky), which adds to the iPad's sleekness and makes it easy to slip into a bag or carry around with you himself; Works the same as the Apple smart cover and back; Extremely easy to take out the iPad, but safe enough that the iPad won't fall out of the case by itself; Magnets in the lid mimic the Apple smart case and allow you to sleep/wake up; The interior space for the Apple Pencil and charging adapter is a much better option than 90% of all third-party cases that try to attach the pencil to the outside of the case (usually with a cheap elastic fabric loop), making it easier to lose the pencil go or get damaged. Cons: Because the cover is attached to the back, this case is not compatible with the Apple Smart Keyboard; The lid is a bit stiff when new (to fold on itself) and takes some time to break properly. The way the cover attaches to the backplate may reduce the lifespan of the case, but this is a common assumption and remains to be seen. Only time will tell how much use it gets, but for the price the fit and finish is excellent and overall the case feels very solid! Conclusion: If you are a fan of the Apple smart case/cover designed for this iPad, this is your case! I still have the Apple case I bought with the iPad but after 5 full years of business and personal use it has become shabby and unwieldy to use in business scenarios. I've tried several third-party cases, but none came close to the fit, finish, and functionality of the Apple Smart Case/Cover prior to this product.
