This is definitely a good solution for those who don't want to go out and buy a $90 Philips Hue strip for 6ft of light. The controller immediately registers with my second generation Hue Bridge and works great straight away. My only complaint is that no power adapter was included, no outlet, just a simple adapter to plug a cord into a socket. As a college student, I didn't have many repair parts and tools that I would have when I got home, so I had to take the wart off the wall and use it instead, which was sketchy at best.
