Use them like watercolors
Worked fine once I realized they looked like watercolors. Dampen a brush or sponge (or your finger!), dip in paint and swirl until no paint remains on the brush, then apply. Be sure to mix the colors while they are still wet. It dries quickly without smearing after drying. Washes off quickly with water.
