I got this for myself for Christmas! Read and compare other irons. I hate making decisions and stopped there. It's lightweight, beautiful color and easy to use. I like that the cord rotates. Great feature. It's getting hot. I have a rubber pad from another iron so I use that. It has one downside and that is the short barrel. This particular straightening iron is designed for short or medium hair. Mine isn't very long, but it's "longer" than most and I can't get the waves I like. It's great around my face, but it's a struggle for the sides and back. I'm not sure if it was worth the price I paid because I went on vacation and forgot my curling iron and bought a cheap $10 curling iron that worked great for it's purpose. I think the short barrel is something I didn't read carefully enough, but I really thought the review was talking about long hair, but it's a good curling iron. My $10 burned out, enough for about 4 months of regular use. This is definitely the best quality. but still. Kind! This only applies to short hair.
