I have a 2007 2WD F-250 truck and not many lift options (don't know why; in my area 90% of cars lifted are just for looks and will never get off the pavement ). These Daystar upgrade kits have been around for a long time, so I chose them over the cheaper "auction" options. I installed them a few months ago and there has been no loss of ride height and I haven't noticed any stiffness in the ride. Don't expect your truck to look like a raised monster, but it's eye-catching and allowed me to add bigger tires. Also, my truck is a diesel - the idea that the extra weight of a diesel engine will cause them to shrink or sag is ridiculous, they are designed to support many times the weight of the entire truck. If anyone notices a drop in ride height over time, it's probably due to other suspension components. A few other general notes I've seen in this regard: * I have NOT replaced or lengthened my factory shocks. No performance issues or premature wear. I wouldn't waste time or money replacing them after installation unless you need new ones anyway. *Don't go to your local 4x4 shop to install them unless you're friends with the owner or something. Any machine shop that can make the front can install it and bring it up to factory specs. My local SUV shop wanted $300 just for the installation plus more for the alignment; I took it to a regular "shock leveling" shop and they installed it and leveled my truck for only $150. Just a helpful tip if you can't fit it yourself (I can't) * For the larger tires I went from a stock wheel and 265/70/17 tire to a stock wheel and 275/65/20 tire. This is equivalent to changing from a 31.7-inch to a 34.1-inch tire. Aside from my speedometer being off by about 5%, it didn't cause any turning radius issues or any other issues. Looks perfect!
