I bought 4 of these to use in my FreeNAS setup. I figured I had the patience to find cost savings as I realized these drives were most likely refurbished or b-stock drives from a reputable manufacturer. hours on time. The fourth drive is not visible to the motherboard and I found that it was DOA. Returned it and ordered a new one. The second drive arrived and showed up on my system, but it couldn't handle the short or long SMART test. I installed it on a Windows computer and it refused to turn on. This time I contacted the seller directly and explained this. Within an hour they had already sent an RMA label and a replacement disk with a tracking number once my RMA tracking hit their system. They also stated that they would pre-test the drive. . The third hard drive finally arrived, installed on my system and successfully tested for both short blocks, long blocks and bad blocks. Aside from the fact that one or more discs were a bit noisy when burned, with a bit of patience and understanding that the chance of an RMA is high, you'll be rewarded with some savings. Customer service is quick and understanding. Despite the low price, they should be profitable enough to afford the RMA shipping costs. Also, these are not 5400 RPM drives, they are 7200 RPM drives. Nothing to worry about. Minimal increase in performance, but nothing to complain about.
