If you plan to use it as a fan for a quiet PC cabinet; PC fans will not mask the noise of this fan. The fan makes a "buzzing" noise that's hard to ignore. as opposed to the thumping hum of my case and heatsink fans in my computer. It's a shame because the construction is solid and the controls aren't bad either; it just makes a weird sound. Regardless of the speed set, I might add. 3 stars out of 5 for a functional fan with airflow and dB ratings to match its display.
