Review on 🚘 Car Door Armrest Replacement Pair for Honda Odyssey 2011-2017 - Vinyl Microfiber Leather Armrest Cover by KBH Auto, Black by Mike Starling

Fabric fits well but vinyl is peeling off foam

This fabric consists of two layers: outer gray or black vinyl and then a foam layer. There are some helpful YouTube videos on how to remove the door panel and yes you will need to remove the entire inner door panel as the part that this fabric is attached to can only be unscrewed from the inside. You tear off the original material and what remains is a piece of hard plastic. Use ceiling glue to attach the new vinyl. Read the instructions. Typically you spray both surfaces and then let it sit for a few minutes before attaching the new cloth to the plastic mold. Note the original material and how it was cut so you can copy the image while you wrap the new vinyl and work on the corners and edges. This is where things get more complicated. You will need to stretch the fabric a bit to get a good fit, but if you do this the vinyl will separate from the foam layer. This is the reason for my 3 star rating. The solution is to glue the layers of fabric together with a glue brush (Weldwood contact cement) and tighten the corners (read the instructions again - same, brush both surfaces and then wait for it to dry tacky before gluing it together). ) It would be a lot easier if the vinyl and foam had a stronger hold and I didn't have to tape all those edges together. But for $30 plus everything I spent on glue I'm happy with how it turned out. Not perfect, but much better.
