My wife took the 'old' Dell desktop that the office gave away. I looked deep and saw that it was only using 1 of the 4 RAM slots. I didn't want to waste time trying to figure out what types are compatible with this model, so I just looked for the one my wife already had installed. They were pretty much the same apart from a few numbers/characters on the model which arrived when I bought my look. The discomfort immediately went away as did the ease when I installed the 3 RAMs I ordered and it worked amazingly. 4GB vs 16GB is a big jump and well worth it as my wife works really hard for university classes. A bit disappointed that the product homepage said I had free shipping, but after checking out there was no option for free shipping. I'm really a proponent of "free shipping". All in all it was a good buy costing around $60. It helps a lot. Tip for anyone trying to repurpose an old office desktop specifically for gaming and video editing. The move from 4GB to 16GB of RAM helps, but if you have an old office desktop, chances are it has a GPU that doesn't support the type of gaming or video editing you're trying to achieve, and it would be wiser to replace them first. Desktop machines I would most likely go for a new (used) GPU first, but since my wife uses it mostly for school work, I decided to upgrade the RAM. Later it will be possible to switch to the GPU, but now this is not necessary.
