KVM ONLY which I think supports my mechanical keyboard setup

I've tried to get the following to work along with the quick toggle: 1. Keyboard Drop CTRL (backlit)2. Manjaro desktop (based on Arch Linux)3. Work courtesy of macbook pro. I have tried at least 4 other KVMS. The DDM style (from Startech/Conectpro) doesn't work, the semi-DMM style doesn't work (TesMart) doesn't work (although they work better with mechanical keyboards. This is the ONLY option that worked. It said the device It are cons THEY DO NOT GIVE YOU AN INDEPENDENT POWER SUPPLY By default the device is powered by the USB connections to your computer, I tried lots of different cables and sockets to see if I could draw enough current to turn on the backlight and it doesn't work doesn't apply to USB 2.0 ports on other KVMs - they can usually light up the keyboard backlight I'm lucky that Drop CTRL is such a great keyboard and has a second USB-C connection that actually allows me to connect extra power .But I can use the K/M port to share machines with very low latency. If you connect them to a ßen 2.0 connection, I t will have a noticeable lag. If they had dedicated power supplies and allowed a hotkey for my keyboard, this would be the best device for gamers/performance fans.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Vulgarity
