The clip holes that the cords have to go through are too small. It's a struggle to get cable clips. If you manage to get the magnets on the strings, good luck hanging! The magnets are strong enough to hold the light provided they don't slip off when hanging. I was 3/4 the length of the gutters when the cord slipped out of the grip of my grip. The weight of the falling section ripped the entire strand off the roofline and I had to start over. I tried 5 or 6 more times and then never got more than 5 or 10 feet before they fell. I ended up using more traditional clips that fit over the edge of the gutter along the roofline and just used magnetic clips that run down the front of the downspouts.
