Review on ๐Ÿšด Thule Cadence 2 Seat Bicycle Trailer: Enhanced Cycling Experience for Families by Boss Spangler

Sturdy little trailer

I've had this trailer for almost two years now and have probably ridden it a few hundred miles. I only have my 2.5 year old son in it and it weighs about 35 pounds right now but I loaded it with a 90 pound punching bag just to see how the weight would feel and see too how the trailer would handle the weight. Aside from the extra pedaling power, not really anything has changed. Tires absorb bumps well. Also remember that you don't have to air them like road bike tires. The seating position is good, but I put a thick blanket under the seat for cushion and support. My son kept crouching in the seat and it looked very uncomfortable. A wooden board and blanket would probably be the best option. Based on the reviews I've read, this seems to be a common complaint about trailers in general. The color of the pendant is a nice light green so people can see you, the flag is a nice finishing touch. To be on the safe side, I fitted the trailer with flashing lights. Connecting the trailer to the bike is quite difficult. The bracket that attaches to the bike is a solid piece of heavy steel. I had no problem installing the hub bracket on a road bike. My skewers and axles need to be long enough to accommodate the bracket, but they won't fit my fatbike's rear hub, the bolt-on axle isn't long enough. So overall this is a decent trailer for the money.
