I have an Ikea Malm desk and it was very difficult to install. The desk itself is thick and has a power supply/cable tray a few inches below the surface. I blame the difficulty of installing it on a table rather than a stand. I like that they take up less space on my desk than Dell's standard monitor stands, which frees up a lot of space. Overall I'm happy with the stands, although I wish they could swivel more than 180 degrees as well, but they don't. big thing.
