Although our Canon Powershot ('05) takes great pictures I wanted a lighter camera as the Canon is too heavy. I'm sure there are lighter Canons out there but my husband chose this model so our son could take him on a trip to Germany. We wanted a decent camera for less than $100 and it more than met our expectations! She takes GREAT pictures! And my son learned so many things about him (panoramic photography for example) that I wanted to do one of my own. I like that it has a battery that you can charge just by plugging it into an outlet. I take photos and take our camera to many events for my kids (mostly races, arts festivals, games) and it's much easier to carry it around (I like to carry it in a small shoulder bag), especially in hot weather. Good product! Easy to use (although the instruction manual is limited), but you can find more information online.
